Venmo and PayPal have recently integrated with Ethereum Name Service (ENS), enabling users to make cryptocurrency payments using .eth addresses instead of lengthy blockchain addresses.
One of the primary obstacles in cryptocurrency transactions has been the complexity of wallet addresses, which are often long and difficult to remember. Ethereum Name Service addresses this by linking easy-to-read names with wallet addresses, much like domain names simplify the use of IP addresses online.
With this new feature, Venmo and PayPal users can input an ENS name when sending money, and the platforms will automatically match it to the correct wallet address. Additionally, both services now offer an address book feature, allowing sellers to save frequently used ENS names for smoother transactions.
