Public Interest Registry has unveiled the 35 finalists for the highly anticipated .ORG Impact Awards, with actor Alan Cumming set to host the awards ceremony this autumn. Renowned for his Emmy and Tony-winning performances and familiar to audiences from his roles in acclaimed shows like “The Good Wife” and the beloved “Spy Kids” series, Cumming’s involvement with charitable causes makes him a fitting host for the event.
The finalists, representing a diverse array of impactful initiatives, will each receive a $2,500 donation and an exclusive invitation to the prestigious award ceremony scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on October 8.
A total of seven categories will be honored during the ceremony, celebrating outstanding achievements in areas such as Community Building, Quality Education for All, Environmental Stewardship, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Health and Healing, Hunger and Poverty, and Rising Stars, which recognizes young leaders under the age of 25 who are effecting positive change in their communities.
Winners in each category will be awarded a $10,000 donation, with the standout recipient of the .ORG of the Year title set to receive a significant $50,000 donation, underscoring the profound impact of their work in the nonprofit sector.
