Atom Launches “Commission Match Guarantee” Program for Domain Sellers

Mary

Atom has introduced a groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing the challenges posed by Afternic’s two-tier commission model within the domain trading industry.

The newly unveiled “Commission Match Guarantee” program by Atom is designed to alleviate concerns among domain sellers, particularly in relation to the additional 10% commission charged by Afternic when domains are parked on other platforms. This innovative program offers sellers a safety net by compensating them for the extra commission incurred if a domain they park with Atom is ultimately sold on Afternic.com, with the reimbursement capped at $300.

This strategic move by Atom not only seeks to offset the financial burden for sellers, especially for lower-priced domains, but also underscores the platform’s commitment to providing a competitive and investor-friendly environment within the domain trading landscape.

Commencing on September 2, sellers opting into the program will forego Atom’s Reduced Commission Benefit but stand to benefit from a 10% reimbursement of the listed price for their domain if a sale is facilitated through Afternic.

To qualify for the program, domain names must be part of Atom’s Premium marketplace, offering enhanced exposure and marketing opportunities, including retargeting advertising. Additionally, sellers must hold a Silver tier status with a minimum of 50 active Premium listings and adhere to Atom.com’s partial exclusivity rules, requiring pricing on Afternic to be at least 10% higher than Atom’s prices and submission of domains using Atom coins priced at $1 each.

This initiative not only showcases Atom.com’s proactive approach to supporting domain sellers but also demonstrates a strategic effort to differentiate itself in a competitive market by prioritizing seller comfort and satisfaction.
