Alongside the visual transformation, AlipayHK is introducing three key features to both new and existing users: “pay everywhere” (四圍pay), “Chill life” (chill生活), and “financial management” (理財). This strategic move is aimed at positioning AlipayHK as a youthful, trendy, and dynamic digital super app that goes beyond mere payments to offer a holistic lifestyle experience.
The revamped app layout and feature set reflect AlipayHK’s evolution from a payment tool to a comprehensive super app, enriching users’ digital interactions with cutting-edge technology and personalized services. Under the “pay everywhere” feature, AlipayHK users across Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand can seamlessly make payments in Hong Kong dollars at merchants displaying the AlipayHK, Alipay, or Alipay+ logos, free from commission fees.
The “chill life” section consolidates various local and cross-border lifestyle services, offering discounts on shopping and dining experiences, while the updated “Financial Management” segment encompasses a range of financial services through Alipay’s collaboration with Ant Bank, including Ant Bank “Balance+,” Ant Bank PayLater, loans, insurance, and other tools tailored to diverse financial management needs.
