The Marketing Excellence Awards Philippines 2024, now in its fourth year, continue to honor exceptional campaigns and talented individuals who have demonstrated brilliance, innovation, and resilience in the face of challenges over the past year.
Responding to valuable feedback and reflecting the dynamic evolution of the field, the awards have introduced five new categories including ‘Excellence in Location-Based Marketing’ and ‘Excellence in Urban Guerrilla Marketing’. This expansion brings the total number of categories to 42, where finalists compete for gold, silver, and bronze trophies, with the prestigious title of “Marketer of the Year” reserved for the highest achiever across all categories.
A panel of 21 esteemed client-side marketing professionals from MARKETING-INTERACTIVE meticulously evaluated entries in each category, ensuring a fair and rigorous selection process.
Carla Christina Cruz, Head of Marketing and Communications at Amway, highlighted the standout campaigns: “While many addressed pertinent issues, top performers distinguished themselves with exceptional strategic capabilities, innovative approaches, and effective execution. These campaigns exemplified comprehensive, well-executed strategies, with some leveraging technology and innovative tactics to achieve significant marketing success.”
Pocholo Garcia, Head of Digital and e-Commerce at Malayan Insurance, emphasized the impact of campaigns that targeted untapped markets: “I was particularly impressed by entries that ventured into new customer segments, demonstrating boldness and creativity beyond the low-hanging fruit.”
Renée Funtanilla, Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at MPT Mobility, reflected on the evolving landscape of marketing: “This year’s nominations underscored what I love most about marketing – the fusion of creativity and strategy. Amidst the constant emergence of new platforms, metrics, and technologies, these brands and agencies have risen admirably, showcasing true Marketing Excellence.”
