GoDaddy to Host Premium Domain Auction, Featuring BuyDomains Listings

Mary

GoDaddy is set to hold a premium domain name auction from September 17-24, offering a mix of domain names from both its NameFind inventory and a third-party seller. While GoDaddy hasn’t officially revealed the identity of the third-party seller, Whois records indicate that BuyDomains is responsible for nearly 80% of the auction’s listings.

In line with previous GoDaddy auctions, there are no hidden reserves, and all domain names will start at their reserve prices. A total of 507 domains are available, with roughly 80% priced at $2,500 or less, and 170 names starting at $1,000 or below.

While the highest-priced domains may not be particularly enticing, there appear to be better value options in the sub-$2,500 range.

In the future, GoDaddy plans to allow individual sellers to contribute domain names to auctions. Domain investors interested in participating can reach out to their Premier Services representative to express their interest.
