YouTube is introducing new enhancements to its “NFL Sunday Ticket” service, offering subscribers the ability to watch up to four games at once and integrate their fantasy football teams into the viewing experience. These updates are being rolled out in advance of the upcoming football season, the second since Google’s Alphabet (GOOGL) secured a seven-year, $14 billion agreement with the NFL to stream the service on YouTube TV. This deal marked a shift from DirecTV, which had exclusively provided “NFL Sunday Ticket” for many years.
In a recent development, a federal judge dismissed a $4.7 billion verdict against the NFL related to “NFL Sunday Ticket.” The lawsuit had alleged that the league inflated service prices, which is the sole option for fans to access out-of-market games.
With the latest upgrades, “NFL Sunday Ticket” subscribers can now link their Yahoo Fantasy accounts through the new “Fantasy View” feature, enabling real-time tracking of fantasy football statistics alongside live game coverage. Additionally, subscribers can customize their viewing experience by selecting any combination of two, three, or four games to watch simultaneously.
